A frame per second (FPS) is an element that measures display machine functioning. It involves number of absolute scans of the display monitor that happens every second. This is the number of moments the image on the monitor is refreshed every second, or the rate at which an imaging device creates unique sequential photo called frames.
30p copies a film camera's frame rate.
24p is generally used when moving a video signal to film.
25p is generally used for television with direct compatibility. It also has output to LCD displays and computer monitors and projectors that works better for progressive scan. High-end high definition TV (HDTV) uses 50p and 60p progressive formats.
72p is an experimental format.
