Screen resolution means clearness of the writing and pictures displayed on your monitor. 1600 x 1200 pixels higher resolutions items will appear sharper. They can be seen smaller so items can be added and fitted on the monitor. At reduced resolutions, such as 800 x 600 pixels, fewer objects fitted on the monitor, but they show bigger.

The resolution that the monitor supports depends on the resolutions. CRT displays usually display a resolution of 800 × 600 or 1024 × 768 pixels and you can play with different resolutions. LCD displays are also named flat-panel displays, and laptop displays frequently support greater resolutions and work best at a specific resolution.

The larger the monitor, usually the higher the resolution it supports. You can easily increase your display resolution it varies on the size and capability of your display and the type of video card you have.
